10 Beach Bars and Clubs in Singapore to Get Cocktails With Your Feet in the Sand
I think we’ve all come to appreciate what it means to be outdoors over the past year thanks to covid, and there’s nothing that beats the feeling of the sun on your skin.
Throw in a beer, a cocktail or two, the ocean, some fun in the sun and well, you’ve got yourself a lovely beach day!
Whether you’re hunting down island vibrations, or prefer to keep things classy, there’s something here to suit everyone’s beach bar/club fantasies.
1. For that classic Mediterranean beach club: Coastes
Looking to feel as if you’re on the shores of some Mediterranean island? Sticking to the classic nautical theme of blue tones and white wood, spend the afternoon with your toes literally in the sand.
There’s even a few tables and spots so close to the shore you’ll feel the water splashing at your feet. You’ll find Coastes at a prime location along Siloso Beach.
2. All the island beach bar vibes: Rumours Beach Club
Rumour has it that this hotspot is where all the cool kids go to hang… But its no surprise really, because this beach club has not one but THREE swimming pools for you to use.
Lap up all the beach vibes as the entire setup is built right in the sand, and that includes the pools. If you’ve come with a hungry tummy, their menu looks divine, and do check out their awesome cocktails (the perfect sundowner).
3. Transport yourself to the South of Europe: FOC Sentosa
If you’ve ever visited the beaches in Barcelona, you may notice some of the similarities between the Spanish bars and this two-storey beach house. FOC Sentosa took inspiration from the land of tapas in both their cuisine and design.
Grab a beach bed, table or spend the afternoon soaking up the sun from the guest pool located upon the beach sands.
4. Standing the test of time and for good reason: Tanjong Beach Club
When a beach club is named as one of the world’s best, you know they must be doing something right…
If you’re keen for a club that oozes a little bit of luxury, you may want to think of hitting up TBC. With the yellow and white umbrellas, and private cabanas that remind us of the South of France – we’re all about it!
5. The ultimate beach day of fun: Ola Beach Club
From the palm trees lining the area to the mojitos served in tiki-mugs, are we in Singapore or Hawaii?
This spot is ideal for both a day of lounging or a day of jam packed fun. You can rent kayaks and SUP boards here or try your hand at their epic jetpack water sessions (it’s just as the name states!)
6. Calling all watersport fanatics!: Aloha Beach Bar
Love watersports and marine activities? If you’re looking to make a day out of it, and if not everyone on your team is interested in watersports – Aloha provides the perfect place for both.
Part of Aloha Sea Sports Centre, enjoy some sun, sea, and yummy chow after an epic session of sailing, SUPing or wind-surfing. And if you’re keen to just enjoy a chilled day out, you can simply come to hang-out and enjoy one of their craft beers too.
7. You won’t find Spongebob but you will find all the vibes: Bikini Bar
For many of us, beach days = a full day of fun in the sun…swimming, playing, drinking, laughing, dancing… Sounding like your idea of a delicious day?
Bringing all the beach-bar vibes from Bali, get ready for funky tunes, great cocktails, and more at Bikini Bar. They also have a live band playing here sometimes, and if you’re after a moment or two out of the sun, try to beat your mate at a game of pool.
8. Enjoy all the pleasures of a beach day without getting dirty: Sandbank
If you prefer to keep yourself sand-free, Sandbank has got you covered. Although they’re not positioned directly in the sand, they’re a few metres from the ocean, so you’ll still get to enjoy the views from here anyway!
They’ve got a nice selection of seafood on their menu, or enjoy one of their homemade pizzas. After something sweet? Let your nose guide you to their in-house bakery filled with baked treats.
PS: There’s a 15-metre plunge pool available here that’s currently undergoing a small renovation. Once it’s ready, remember to bring your swim things!
9. A surprisingly chill spot for both him and her: Georges Beach Club
What began as a tiny sports centre on the beach in 1999 is now one of the go-to spots in the East for lunch/dinner by the beach and getting in your dose of vitamin sea.
Enjoy the views and ocean breeze at this charming spot. If you’re travelling with family and little ones, there’s a playground around the corner.
PS: If you’re into football, rugby or F1 racing, catch your favourite sports streaming live here!
10. Go padding, kayaking or simply come for a hang: Ohana Beach House
This one really does feel like an old-school beach clubhouse, or lifeguard tower, but it’s in fact, home to a comfortable and ultra-chill beach bar.
Another beach bar on the list that hosts a bunch of activities, Ohana is part of the Adventure Paddlers, which offers paddling, kayaking and SUPing around the waters here. Chill post-paddle or ditch the activities all together and come for a hang.
